Year 7 Geography Trip to Glastonbury
Year 7 geographers battled a brisk breeze on their recent field trip to Glastonbury. They completed a data collection exercise about environmental quality in the town centre, as well as a land use survey. Though too blustery on the top of Glastonbury Tor for pupils’ intended task of measuring slope angles, the anemometer came in handy to measure wind speed and there was much enthusiasm as the group matched the landscape they could see to OS maps and their own maps of Mid-Somerset.
