National Youth Orchestra’s Ode to Joy

On Saturday, members of the National Youth Orchestra, including many Wells musicians, joined together to perform Beethoven’s classic Ode to Joy, from his Ninth Symphony, in a show of solidarity, dedicated to everyone in need of a “musical pick-me-up”.

The musicians were joined by Marin Alsop, music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, who conducted from her home in the USA.
