Poetry By Heart Somerset KS4 Winner
Congratulations to Year 10 pupil Alexei James-Cudworth, who was the Somerset winner in the Key Stage 4 section of this year’s Poetry By Heart competition.

Julie Blake, Director of Poetry By Heart wrote, “Our panel of judges were impressed by how these young people managed to learn two poems by heart along with all their other commitments at Key Stage 4. We often came to understand the poems differently because of the ways they had been interpreted. It will be interesting to see how these poems learnt by heart will continue to stay in the minds of those who learnt them.”Alexei will receive a printed letter, certificate and poetry prize in due course.
