Save the Children Walk with a Difference
Congratulations to all those involved in this year’s Save the Children Sponsored Walk with a Difference, held annually at Wells since 1966, but in 2020, held as a first non-cohesive event in the School’s history, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.
Pupils in their own chosen groups, in Houses and in families walked or ran the 10km or 5 km distance over a two week period before half term and together raised £2,065. The Save the Children committee in Wells are thrilled!
The planned Christmas Jumper day on Wednesday 9th December will add to this total for a very worthy cause.
Deputy Head (Pastoral), Martin Ashton who has ensured the successful continuation of the walk for many years at Wells said, “£2,065 is a fantastic total and it’s great that we were able to continue this very proud tradition despite the restrictions of COVID-19. Particular thanks to our Philanthropy Captains, Lottie Gordion and David Gaski in the Upper Sixth for driving this.”
