Friday Musical Discovery Showcase
Wells musicians enjoyed an action-packed day of musical discovery last Friday, the final Friday Music Seminar of this School year. Outgoing Academic Music Captain, Francois Cloete, led the seminar with a fascinating comparison of composers’ reactions to the state, with a spotlight on Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.
Friday Night is Symphony Night returned in the evening with an exploration of Elgar’s Enigma Variations, ably led by student conductors Leo Wong, Yufei Zhu, Dawid Kasprzak, Defne Anar, Luca Wiseman and Harry Jordan.
