Oxbridge Preparation Day
On Friday 19th November, Wells co-hosted with Millfield an Oxbridge Preparation Day for 74 pupils from a range of local Sixth Forms, including five local state schools.
Pupils worked in groups to solve a wide range of subject specific problems. The highlight of the day was when pupils had the opportunity to work together and discuss their ideas – there was a real buzz in the room!
The event formed part of the School’s extensive scheme preparing pupils for Oxbridge applications, which has included visits to Oxford, mentoring and interview preparation.
Charlotte Wilde, Head of Academic Enrichment, commented: “We’re so proud that in recent years, many Wells pupils have been able to attain places at Oxbridge. It’s wonderful to be working together to support this year’s entrants from our local community”
