Little Wellies Go Dotty
Our Little Wellies have been really busy this term having been inspired by Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist who covers everything in dots. A super practitioner launched this creative “dotty wotty doo dah” initiative after observing the nursery children having so much fun making dots with their bingo dabbers.
They encouraged the children to be creative, work together, learn about a new culture and take dots to a whole new level. From dotty cakes with smarties on top to making all sorts of shapes, and a dotty dressing up day to counting all of the dots, our dotty project has engaged the pupils in a love of learning for everything from art to maths. Yes, really, maths! Our creative curriculum enables pupils to enjoy a range of subjects – did you know you could do so much with dots?
