Matilda the Musical Jr Wows Audience
This year’s production of Matilda was a sight to behold: slick, professional and enthralling throughout. The messages that you can control your own story and that rebellion and protest can defeat the bullies was deeply embedded as the cast told the story with relentless energy, comedy and power. All of the characters were completely believable, adorable, scary, sweet and feisty in equal measures, and the relationships touching. The singing and dancing were second to none providing ample opportunity for the young cast (Years 7-9) to exhibit their spectacular skill and energy through the brilliantly choreographed company numbers.
This truly was an ensemble piece and it was apparent that everyone on stage was having the time of their lives. Audience comments include:

I’ve just returned from my second performance of the day, this evening with my family, and we absolutely loved it. I’m just sorry that Thursday night is sold out, otherwise I would have loved to come again!
