Local Author Matt Dickinson Runs Creative Writing Workshops
On Friday 25th March, Senior School pupils were visited by local author Matt Dickinson who gave two fantastic creative writing workshops.
Matt has found inspiration for many of his books from his three trips to Mount Everest as a documentary maker. The theme of the School’s creative writing competition this year is therefore ‘Challenge‘ and we are inviting short stories of up to 1000 words on this topic to be submitted to a member of the English department by Friday 29th April – a chance to get writing over the Easter break! There will be prizes for the winners and runners up for Years 7-9 and Years 10-11.
The School thanks Matt for his inspiring visit and looks forward to seeing everyone’s creative writing efforts.
