The School Hosts Violin Day
On Sunday 15th May, the School hosted its popular Violin Day.
Led by our Coordinator of String Studies, Simon Smith, this was an inspirational day for over 25 Violinists and their parents who came from far and wide. They enjoyed a programme that included masterclasses and ensembles with Wells Cathedral School Violin teachers, including our new Director of Music, Alex Laing. The day also involved a parental engagement session with Alex and Simon covering topics such as practice and motivation. The day culminated with performances from Wells pupils and all of the day’s Violinists playing Hellmesberger’s Romance.
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Violin Day, we hope you had a wonderful experience!
