Professor Ronald Hutton Gives Bernard Society Talk
The Bernard Society hosted the first speaker of the year on the evening of Tuesday 20th September.
Professor Ronald Hutton of the University of Bristol came to speak to a substantive and mixed audience of pupils, staff and parents on Alfred the Great. In addition to a distinguished academic career, the professor has appeared on over 40 different documentary television series as a Historical Expert and been on the governing body of English Heritage. The engaging talk produced numerous questions from the pupils and the professor remarked on the pleasant interactions he had with the pupils and the standards of their queries.
