Pupils fundraise for British Red Cross
Seeing the devastating impact of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, Wells pupils sought to raise money to help those affected. Displaying brilliant organisational skills, Lower Sixth Geologists had a hand from Year 8 helpers to organise a sale of fossils and crystals; the popular lunchtime sale raised £111.50. Sixth Formers Nathaniel Halls, Erin Davies and Hannah Acworth (Upper Sixth) had been busking over the Christmas holidays and raised a valuable £65; the trio had been considering which charity to donate the funds to and in light of the recent earthquakes, have chosen to give the money to those affected in Turkey and Syria. Following the School’s non-uniform day, all proceeds will be passed on to the British Red Cross.
