World Book Day
World Book Day is always a special event at Wells, and this year was no exception!
Pupils and staff in the Pre-Prep rose to the challenge of dressing up as their favourite book characters, while Year 3 saw St Andrew’s House transformed into ‘St Andrew’s Reading Café’, complete with gingham tablecloths, fresh flowers and mood lighting! The children received exclusive invitations to a ‘Book Tasting’ event where different genres of books were served up on silver platters to inspire them to read and broaden their reading tastes. Pupils from Years 3 to 7 witnessed some real life magic on Cedars Field, taking part in Quidditch sessions with Enrich Education.
We hope everyone went on to enjoy some bedtime reading, if they weren’t already tired out from the excitement of the day!
