British Science Week at Wells Cathedral School WCS an Independent Prep in Somerset England

British Science Week

From the Nursery to the Sixth Form, pupils across the School were thoroughly engaged in British Science Week, a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths.

Pupils in the Nursery and the Pre-Prep have been watching fun science experiments, with children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 visiting a Senior School science lab (and showing off their very best safety goggle wearing skills!), and everyone took part in a Zoo Lab session to meet and learn about lots of interesting animals.

Pupils in the Prep School also attended the Zoo Lab, as well as learning about morse code and Bletchley Park, coding, animation and space.

KS3 Science classes have been involved in a global science investigation run by the Society of Chemistry, and ten Lower Sixth pupils presented their very own TED talks in Cedars Hall.

Our thanks go to the wonderful staff who put so much effort into making the week engaging and exciting for all!
