Year 10 Geography trip to Bristol

Year 10 Geographers headed to Bristol in the middle of June for an urban study in a heat wave.

They began by taking a boat trip around the historic Floating Harbour, once Bristol’s main port but today a combination of restaurants, housing, offices and museums. They learned that redeveloping urban areas takes place over many years and witnessed first hand how Bristol is changing through their own primary data study at Temple Quarter, once a rather down-at-heel industrial quarter which is rapidly changing. After a journey up the Gloucester Road, pupils visited Aztec West and Cribbs Causeway.

Pupils showed excellent focus on a hot day and achieved some very convincing data collection while studying a fascinating and ever-evolving city.
