Heads of School Conference
A record high number of 63 delegates from schools far and wide, indeed as far as The Isle of Wight, joined our annual Heads of School Conference this year.
The purpose of this event is to equip recently appointed pupil leaders to lead with effectiveness and integrity through the platform belief that leadership not only can be taught, learned and received but should be.
This year the group was given advice, guidance and training in a host of relevant leadership areas from visibility and delegation to chairing meetings and public speaking.
The keynote speaker from a leadership company, Ivy House, concluded the day with a powerful and challenging message. He spoke about the importance of being a courageous learner and using every experience as a development experience, including the uncomfortable ones that don’t go to plan!
Mr Ashton, Deputy Head (Pastoral), commented; “We are already planning next year’s programme with great anticipation. We believe in equipping tomorrow’s extraordinary leaders for a world that desperately needs inspirational and value driven role models.”
