Piano masterclasses
This year’s series of international piano masterclasses started with visits by two distinguished artists.
American pianist Richard Goode, widely revered as one of the world’s greatest pianists, gave a recital in Cedars Hall followed by a masterclass with Wells pupils the following morning. Pictured with Mr Goode are Rufina Lok and Yannick Fiss (Upper Sixth).
The next day saw a return visit from Professor Vanessa Latarche, Head of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music in London. Vanessa worked closely with Upper Sixth pianists preparing for conservatoire entrance auditions this autumn. She is pictured with Kamil Kulich, James Mayhew, Naz Korkmaz, Oriane Bensoussan-Wozna, Rufina Lok and Bibi Redford.
