Bath Half
The School had a number of representatives at the Bath Half marathon running competitively, for charitable causes and to challenge themselves.
Deputy Head (Academic) Mrs Perry finished with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes, while Edson Macedo Bird (Upper Sixth) came 32nd place in the Men’s Under 20 category with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes.
School Governor Andrew Gummer took on the challenge, Michelle Hancock, Director of Development & Head of Foundation, ran her first Bath Half and English teacher Mrs Williams ran a time of 2 hours 14 minutes in aid of The Spafford Children’s Centre in Jerusalem, while GAP student Mr Kearns finished in 2 hours 9 minutes and exceeded his fundraising target for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre; all while dressed as Spider-Man!
Florence Gummer and Dimity Williams (Upper Sixth) clocked a time of 2 hours 9 minutes, running for the Teenage Cancer Trust and raising over £1500.
