Equestrian Team competition debut
Our newly formed Wells Cathedral School Equestrian Team competed in the National Schools Equestrian Association Show Jumping event in Dorset for the first time in many years.
In spite of the rain, team spirit was high and all three of our riders – Matilda Binns (Upper Sixth) on Harvey, Freddie Jackson (Upper Sixth) on Tango and Willow Williams (Year 9) on Faye’s Choice – showed impressive determination in the face of a very strong turnout from other schools. Matilda and Willow both jumped clear rounds and came 2nd and 3rd respectively in the individual category.
We are already looking ahead to the next event!
