Graduate Music Assistant Lunchtime Concert
Our Lunchtime Concert series started the new year with much excitement as our fabulous team of Graduate and Gap Music Assistants demonstrated just what talented musicians they are in an eclectic programme.
Huge thanks to Miss Glover (saxophone), Mr Lent (flute), Mr Ashley (voice), Mr Stevens (trombone) and Mr Goodlad (piano) for performing. A particular mention to Miss Bastin who joins us this term as a Gap Music Assistant alongside her role as Choral Scholar at Wells Cathedral, who sang so beautifully. We are so lucky to have so many talented performers on our staff and the GMA team continues to be the beating heart of the Music Department.
Our GMA team have also been hugely successful in their applications for further musical study, so congratulations are due to recently departed GMA Miss Dowse who has a place as a choral scholar reading English at Merton College, Oxford, to Mr Ashley who has a place on the Masters course in Musical Theatre Direction at Mountview, Miss Glover who has a Masters place as a saxophonist at the Royal College of Music and to Mr Stevens who has yet to decide between Masters offers in trombone at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music!
