Mayor’s New Clothes project
Huge congratulations to Creative Arts Captain Emily (Upper Sixth) and the Creative Arts team for taking part in the Mayor’s New Clothes project, Tanys Transformations.
The project involved transforming pre-loved wedding dresses into repurposed gowns to support and raise funds for local charities and, in our case, the Sierra Leone Project. The dress, created by Emily with the support of her grandmother Penny, was previewed to rapturous applause at the Mayor’s Fashion Show in the Town Hall, where 60 other glittering dresses were showcased, prior to the main catwalk event to be held in the Cathedral in July.
