Meg releases new album: Heart Grows Fonder
Meg (Upper Sixth) is celebrating the release of her new album, Heart Grows Fonder.
Meg made an appearance on GWS Radio (Glastonbury, Wells and Street) to discuss being involved with Glastonbury Calling, a music event taking place across five different venues on Saturday 2nd March, and the new album which is now available to stream and purchase.
Speaking about the album process, Meg explained, “I began writing and recording Heart Grows Fonder in 2022 and have been working on it since, recording and producing it at home. It’s been a really cool project to work on outside of School. A lot of the songs are in a folk, acoustic style and the lyrics, which are all original, are mostly written based on life experiences, with some influence from novels and poetry.”
Mr Leaker, Co-ordinator of Jazz and Popular Music, commented, “Meg is such a star; she is a prolific and mature songwriter and performer. We are so proud of her and know that she has a bright future ahead!”
