Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad
Five Upper Sixth pupils took part in round one of the Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad on Thursday 25th January.
Sean, James, Myron, Poppy, Joseph and Leo had their chemical knowledge tested by a written test with real-world chemistry problems which will now be marked – our fingers are tightly crossed for them to reach round two which will take place at the University of Nottingham in April.
Mr Kurg, Head of Chemistry, commented; “This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to test their chemistry knowledge in a competition that could see them travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia if they are successful in rounds one and two. I was very pleased with the way they rose to the challenge, and wish them every success!“
