OW Emily is fastest female cross-country skier in the Army

OW Emily Smith (2014), currently serving in The Rifles (an infantry regiment with strong connections to Wells), has successfully defended her title as the fastest female cross-country skier in the Army! She and a group of her soldiers were welcomed at one of the most famous addresses in the UK, 10 Downing Street, by OW Mark Shercliff (1998) to mark their achievements in the recent military Nordic skiing competition. Mark – also a member of The Rifles – is currently serving as the Prime Minister’s Military Assistant.
