Rockfield Studios Music Technology trip
On Monday 18th March, A level Music Technology pupils visited the world-renowned Rockfield Studios in South Wales, where artists including Rush, The Stone Roses and Queen have recorded.
Pupils spent the day recording and mixing a song, ably performed by members of the group, under the guidance of one of the Studios’ experienced technicians.
Asked about his experience of the trip, Music Technology Captain Ethan (Upper Sixth) said, “Learning to use the vast 48 channel mixing desk at Rockfield was an incredible experience, and to use the same equipment as so many famous artists was really inspiring.”
