Graduate Sports Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Graduate to coach sport at all levels from Year 7 to 13. The applicant will be expected to contribute to the wider games programme, including supporting pre-season training.
The Graduate Sports Assistant will be involved in coaching sport at Wells six days a week, including Saturdays, during term time. This will include a busy timetable within the Physical Education and Sports department, leading sessions and working with specialist PE teachers and games coaches.
The School offers a competitive sports programme, very popular with our pupils in this unique co-educational day and boarding school in the heart of the West Country. It would be ideally suited to those with a passion for sport and young people who are looking to gain relevant experience before embarking on a formal teaching qualification. It would also suit a newly qualified teacher looking to gain experience in a thriving independent boarding school. The candidate will be expected to have expertise in at least one of our core sports (Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Tennis and Football).
Accommodation can be provided if the successful candidate performs an Assistant Houseparent role for which an additional allowance is offered. Further details can be provided by the HR department.
