Edgarley Cross Country Relays
In the penultimate week of the Lent Term, 16 pupils across Years 7 and 8 competed at the Edgarley Cross Country Relays at Millfield Prep School.
This event was the final meet of the season, following the Wells Interhouse, the Mendip Area Cross Country and the Somerset Cross Country Championships earlier in the season. The Edgarley Relay is a unique Cross Country event which requires pupils to race in a team of four, with each pupil running 1.5km in a relay format. The event was very testing for all involved as they experienced sun, rain and hale during the course of the race against seven other schools.
Despite this, all teams did incredibly well with the Year 8 girls finishing second, the Year 7 and 8 boys finishing third and the Year 7 girls finishing fourth.
Mr Meehan comments, “I am incredibly proud of all our pupils who have shown fantastic commitment to Cross Country this season and it was wonderful to conclude with such positive results at the Edgarley Relays.”
