Claire plays Tennis for Somerset

Claire (Year 8) had an exciting weekend playing Tennis for Somerset at the Girls’ Junior County Cup in Torquay.

Five players represented Somerset across 18 matches against Wiltshire, Cornwall and Gloucestershire, and of these Claire was the only player to secure a win in a single’s match against Cornwall. In an incredible display of resilience, Claire was one set and 3-0 down at the opponent’s match point, then fought back to wins of 1-4, 4-3 and 10-4. She enjoyed the support from coaches, teammates, and parents, and played very confidently.
