Prep School Harvest Festival
On Thursday 10th October, the Prep School held their annual Harvest Festival! This marked our first full Prep School assembly of the year, with everyone from Nursery to Year 6 joining together.
The service began with a welcome from Mr Wells before everyone sang the hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful. Freya L and Evie H (Year 6) then delivered a beautiful reading of The Last Leaf by Harry Behn, after which the Pre-Prep took to the stage to sing Paintbox (Cauliflowers Fluffy). Reverend Tom Handy (OW 1998) followed this with a talk about gratefulness, using one of the donations, a can of soup, as an example of how much work goes into producing one seemingly simple item. Everyone then sang Big Red Combine Harvester together, complete with accompanying actions, before Reverend Handy delivered the final prayers and blessing.
Mr Wells remarked, “Once again, I was amazed by the generosity of our School community, making the occasion even more special.”
