Chorister Camp-Out
On Friday 27th September, our Choristers forwent their cassocks and gathered their warm clothes, sleeping bags and tents for their annual Camp-Out in the Cathedral.
After their usual Chorister Tea at School, the Senior Choristers headed down to the Cathedral for a “fireside” camping sing-around, before being joined by the Junior Choristers for pizza. The tents were then pitched in the Cathedral, and beds set up for the night, before watching Pixar’s Ratatouille under the Scissor Arches, complete with hot chocolate and popcorn. It had been a busy week for them all, with recordings and concerts on top of their usual schedule, so it was a quiet and restful night. In the morning, they struck camp and headed to the Bishop’s Palace, where the café had kindly opened early, for breakfast baps and orange juice, before heading home for the rest of the Exeat weekend.
