Ian Bousfield visit

World-renowned brass soloist, pedagogue and former Principal Trombone of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Ian Bousfield visited Wells for two days of inspirational masterclasses, culminating in a stunning evening recital in Cedars Hall. Pupils from Wells Cathedral School and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama performed in a well-attended public masterclass, presented in collaboration with the British Trombone Society, and included 10 year old Apollo, winner of the British Trombone Society’s Masterclass Competition. Ian has been supporting the Brass Department in Wells for 29 years, and we are thrilled that he was able to visit us again.
