Prep Schools Singing Festival
On Tuesday 11th February, the Prep School were joined by eight other Prep Schools for our inaugural Prep Schools Singing Festival.
At the centre of the performance was Jonathan Dove’s Seasons and Charms, a collection of songs for community singing and part of ‘Friday Afternoons’, an initiative inspired by Benjamin Britten’s Friday Afternoons song collection, which seeks to connect teachers and pupils through song. Everyone had enormous fun workshopping in Cedars Hall before gathering en masse in the Cathedral in the afternoon. The concert was well-attended by parents from the different schools and the children sounded superb.
