Songs from the Shows
We were treated to 21 exhilarating performances in the first of our biannual ‘Songs from the Shows’ concerts.
Always a favourite with the Cedars Hall audience, this celebration of musical theatre certainly didn’t disappoint. Featuring a cast of pupils from Years 9 to the Upper Sixth, it was a delight to see such excellence on show. The audience were treated to show stopping numbers from Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Follies, Into the Woods, Dear Evan Hansen and the ever popular Wicked.
Head of Vocal and Choral Studies, Christopher Finch, comments:
“These events are highlights of the year for many in the Music Department. I was so impressed by the universally fantastic quality of the performances and heartened to see the joy and passion so vibrantly displayed on stage and in the reaction of the audience. I’m indebted to our incredible staff for preparing the pupils so brilliantly, and to the creative team of Elizabeth Donovan, Felix Ashley and Jonno Taylor for facilitating our pupils to shine so brightly with such maturity and artistic integrity.”
