Belinda announced as Voices For Life Young Ambassador
We are delighted for Belinda G-G (Year 9) who, during their Stardust concert, was announced as the Young Ambassador for the charity Voices For Life. Belinda has previously been a soloist for the charity and is now stepping into a role which will see her raise awareness, support initiatives and promote the charity’s vision of using music to foster confidence, skills and a sense of community.
Mr Finch, Head of Vocal and Choral Studies, comments, “As a School we are incredibly supportive of the immensely important work of the ‘Voices for Life’ charity. We were honoured to support them in their project in Wells Cathedral a couple of years ago. We are now so proud of Belinda as she accepts the ambassadorial role, inspiring younger children and advocating for the importance of singing in every child’s education.”
Mr Laing, Director of Music, adds, “We at Wells are so proud of Belinda for being chosen for this prestigious role. Belinda is, of course, a fabulous young singer, but this appointment goes beyond that as it celebrates her qualities as a mentor and an inspiration to others.”
This is the latest in a string of successes for Belinda, from being crowned BBC Junior Young Chorister of the Year 2023 to singing in the Royal Albert Hall at the Salvation Army’s Christmas concert in December, and we wish Belinda the very best, knowing that she will do a fantastic job!
