Rosslyn Park Festival
Our Senior Rugby 7s squad competed brilliantly at the prestigious Rosslyn Park Festival. The Festival is a fantastic event which comprises of 1096 schools of various ages competing across five days. Appearing in the U18 Boys Vase competition for the first time since 2012/13, Wells was given a hard group with Whitgift, Churchers College and Bryn Teg College all in our group. After a tough start against Whitgift our boys rallied well with a spirited performance against Churchers. In the final game the team put in their best performance to beat our Welsh counterparts Bryn Teg to record an excellent victory in our final game and end the season on a high, particularly for our departing Upper Sixth pupils.
Mr Meehan, Head of Rugby, commented:
“To be part of The Rosslyn Park Festival again was a brilliant experience for our pupils. It is a special event and I am sure that they will all remember it for a long time to come.”
We have just reapplied for next year’s competition and look forward to seeing the team back in action!
