Big wins at Two Moors Competition and Swindon Festival for Ted and Belinda

We are thrilled to announce that Ted L (Year 7) and Belinda G-G (Year 9) were both crowned winners at the Two Moors Competition held at Taunton School. Belinda won for voice and Ted won for recorder. Both were hailed for their impressive and exceptional musical talent.

The competition is open to classically trained strings, brass or woodwind players, pianists and singers. Entrants needed to be aged 18 or under on 1st January 2025, be living or educated in South West England (Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset or Wiltshire) and be working at a level of grade 7 or above so this is a wonderful achievement.

In the Swindon Festival, Ted made it through three different stages to become the overall Festival winner. Firstly, he won the Recorder Soloist Cup and then he won the Instrumental Final. Finally, he competed against the winners from all other classes to become the “Supreme Champion”. The judge described his final performance as impeccable.
