Ariane is British Champion
A few weeks ago Ariane L-J (Year 9) picked up gold at the Welsh Taekwondo open championships and on Sunday she went one better. At the British Taekwondo Council championships, all style, all clubs she became British Champion. Her opponent in the final was disqualified in the last 10 seconds of the fight for persistent foul play. By this stage Ariane was well ahead on points and had frustrated her opponent with clever defence and quality kicks. It was Ariane’s courage and determination that carried her through, even when the fight turned nasty Ariane was true to herself and stuck to her fight plan.
She has now been invited to train with the GB team prior to the World Championships in July!
