Classics creative activities for the end of Term
In the last two weeks of Term, Year 8 pupils have produced some wonderful creations for the ‘Last Days of Pompeii’ projects, including some amazingly complex 3D volcano models, a fabulous sketch of the eruption scene, a detailed ancient newspaper report and an imaginative comic about Pliny’s experiences.
Alongside this, Year 9 pupils came up with convincing speeches and presentations for class debates about the most important areas of the Classical world in terms of its influence on modern life: these included Law and Politics, Language, Literature and Stories, Architecture and Infrastructure, and Science and Medicine. Well done to everyone involved.
