Wells Hockey players shine on the international stage

We were delighted to see former Wells pupil Selma K representing Austria at the recent European U18 Hockey Championships in Glasgow. Selma joined us for two Terms as a short stay pupil and was a valued member of our 1st XI squad.

Equally exciting was the participation of current Lower Sixth pupil Tilly M, who represented Wales at the same tournament. A key player in our current Hockey side, Tilly continues to go from strength to strength.

It was a special moment to see both girls competing at such a high level – albeit on opposite sides of the pitch! Austria finished in fourth place, with Wales close behind in fifth, in what was a fiercely competitive tournament.

We are incredibly proud of both Selma and Tilly for their achievements and for representing their countries and Wells Cathedral School with such distinction on the international stage.
