Girls’ Hockey 1st XI win National Plate Quarter-Final
We are thrilled for our Girls’ Hockey 1st XI team who took on Dauntsey’s in the Quarter-Final of the National Plate yesterday and were on the winning side at the final whistle. It was a tough-fought game in pouring rain for our girls who advanced to a 2-0 lead before the opposition equalised, with a penalty flick from Tilly M (Upper Sixth) ultimately getting Wells over the line. It was a real test of resilience, teamwork and belief, and we now wait to find out if they will be facing St Edward’s School Oxford or Mill Hill School away in the Semi-Final. Our congratulations to the whole team along with our thanks to their families and friends who huddled under umbrellas to cheer them to victory!
