Dance Showcase: Steps in Snow
On Friday and Saturday, the Senior School dancers from Years 7 to the Upper Sixth took to Cedars Hall for their annual dance showcase, ‘Steps in Snow’, a dance retelling of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Across 24 captivating routines, the dancers brought the story to life through a varied programme of contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap and modern styles, presented through both group and solo performances. Each piece contributed to a powerful interpretation of C.S. Lewis’ classic tale, showcasing a years worth of hard-work and dedication to their dance training.
It was a wonderful set of performances, with both audiences left emotional, uplifted and buzzing with excitement. The Saturday performance was met with a thoroughly-deserved standing ovation in recognition of the dancers’ talent and story-telling.
A huge well done to all the performers involved for two unforgettable performances of dance!
