Southampton University Maths Competition
We have been notified of success in this year’s Southampton University Maths Competition. Pupils were set eight problems with a flight theme and they had to produce fully written solutions to them. Across Years 7 to 10, 20 pupils spent a huge amount of their own time solving these problems and preparing their solutions. We are delighted to announce that in the Junior competition Charlotte F (Year 7) was awarded a Distinction, while in the Senior competition Shanna F (Year 9) was awarded third place and Zino Z (Year 10) was awarded second place. Prize winners have been invited to the university in June for an award ceremony.
