Songs from the Shows
Songs from the Shows are always a highlight of the musical calendar: semi-staged performances of numbers from West End and Broadway shows, accompanied by a live band. It is a thrill for pupils and an always enthusiastic audience. This week’s iteration must be one of the best we have had. A packed Cedars Hall heard performances from pupils as young as Year 7 all the way to the Sixth Form. The repertoire included songs from Les Misérables, Hairspray, Hamilton, as well as classics from Rodgers and Hammerstein. The quality from all was superb and the band was sensational, providing orchestral colour to each song. Bravo to all, and particular thanks to Ms Donovan and Mr Hicks for their stage and musical direction.
