Emma gives stunning concerto performance
On Saturday, Emma S (Upper Sixth) gave a spectacular performance of the Barber Violin Concerto with the Mid-Somerset Orchestra at Strode Theatre. Under the baton of conductor Hitoshi Suzuki, this was Emma’s first time performing an entire concerto with orchestra and her first experience collaborating with an adult amateur orchestra. Her playing was both technically brilliant and deeply expressive in a piece she knows well, having won the WCS Concerto Competition with this piece last year. The entire audience was captivated by her artistry, and this performance truly marked a significant milestone in her musical journey.
