Ariane plays for Team Bath
On Sunday 23rd March, Ariane L-J (Year 9) represented the U14 regional side for Team Bath Netball. The squad had finished the South West Division 2 (North) league in second place and travelled to Paignton where the top four teams from the North and South divisions came together for the play-offs. The girls finished in a well-deserved third place having come up against some very strong competition.
This adds to her earlier sporting success; last month she took part in her first Taekwon-Do competition as a black belt at the South West tournament, fighting the former world coloured belt champion in the U16 final and taking a very tight win despite being three and a half inches shorter than her opponent. The two finalists then teamed up for the tag competition and swept the opposition away to collect gold.
