Be a Chorister for a Day

If you would like to experience a day in the life of a chorister, please come along to this fun day that takes place on the third Saturday of September each year, during which children aged 7 – 9 years old are invited to spend a day at Wells Cathedral.The experience includes singing games, learning about the cathedral and finding out what a Chorister really does. We encourage talented young musicians to audition for our specialist music scheme. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for your instrument/voice, a desire to learn and have the commitment and dedication to strive to fulfil your musical potential. Grades and exam results are not essential entry requirements. Successful applicants may be awarded one of two different types of music scholarships: the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) grant funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and our own Music Scholarships.…
