Letty has worked at the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music and Trinity Laban in London; the University of Cambridge, Snape Maltings and Britten Pears Arts in the East of England; as well as her involvement in projects with institutions overseas, including the National University Singapore, Beit AlMusica, Israel, the Drakensberg Boys Choir School, South Africa and Bentley Music Academy, Kuala Lumpur. Letty is a Trustee of the Board for the National Children’s Orchestra in the UK, with whom she also regularly tutors; as well as a co-founder of gender advocacy initiative Gender and the Large and Shiny Instruments (GALSI), through which she has curated projects and performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Overseas League and the Royal College of Music, as well as working with the Musicians Union. Letty frequently delivers lectures, talks and podcasts to promote her work with GALSI and is currently working to create a mentoring programme with Conservatoire students across the UK.

In her performing work, Letty records frequently as a soloist, most recently appearing in Hollywood blockbuster films Gladiator II, The Northman and Nosferatu. She regularly contributes to BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4 programmes, with her performing work often crossing into drama and theatre (recent productions include Anthony and Cleopatra, Shakespeare’s Globe; Macbeth and Amadeus, National Theatre; and Julius Caesar, Royal Shakespeare Company). Letty has performed in West End productions including Disney’s Lion King and Bedknobs and Broomsticks and she has worked with the UK’s leading orchestras.

Letty was educated at the University of Oxford for her Undergraduate degree, with Postgraduate degrees from the University of Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she held a Junior Fellowship. She is currently working towards her Doctorate with the University of Manchester and National Museums Scotland and contributes towards academic research with frequent academic papers and lectures.
