Robert Andrew Verity

Robert Verity is currently Global Head of Retail Banking Wealth Management Operational Risk & Internal Control and Head of Operational Risk Management – Asia Pacific at HSBC. After joining in September 2007, the focus has been to implement and embed a more advanced approach to Operational Risk Management in HSBC. Robert previously worked at American Express in New York where he headed up the global Operational Risk function. He has held senior management positions in Operations, as regional Head of Operations for CIBC in Asia Pacific and in finance, for Security Pacific in London. Robert is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with KPMG in London.
