Four specialist violinists from Wells – Sam, Daniel, Gwyneth and Raphael – were thrilled to travel to The Lighthouse in Poole on 26th April 2016 when they had the opportunity of hearing international violinist Augustin Haddelich rehearse the Sibelius violin concerto with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Augustin Haddelich then gave masterclasses to our young violinists who performed the following works: Tchaikovsky violin concerto 1st mvt; Saint-Saens violin concerto No 3 in B minor, 1st mvt; Prokofiev violin concerto No 2 in G minor; and the Barber violin concerto.
