Ian Pennicott QC SC is a Barrister in full-time practice at Des Voeux Chambers, Hong Kong and an International Tenant of Keating Chambers, London. He was called to the Bar in England in 1982 and in Hong Kong in 1984. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in England in 2003 and Senior Counsel in Hong Kong in 2014. Ian specialises in domestic and international construction, infrastructure, and oil and gas disputes.
As well as acting as Counsel, he has sat and is sitting as a Chairman, party-appointed or sole Arbitrator in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea and London. As well as arbitration, Ian has extensive knowledge of other forms of ADR, in particular, mediation and adjudication. Ian is a member of the CIArb and a Council Member and Past Chairman (2015-2016) of the Society of Construction Law Hong Kong.
